Aurora is an interactive digital artwork hosted on the monumental curved canvas designed by Ramus in Sydney, Australia. Drawing inspiration from the Southern Lights, the work evokes the atmospheric qualities of impressionist painting, translating the shifting luminosity of auroral phenomena into a responsive digital environment. The artwork is designed to intuitively register its surroundings, creating a tangible relationship between visitors, movement, and the uniquely curved screen.

Multiple interactive systems shape the experience. The number of people present in the foyer influences the density and complexity of the particle field, while brush-like forms trace the movement of patrons as they traverse the space. These gestures are echoed by visitors ascending and descending the escalators flanking the canvas. When a participant reaches the centre of the screen, a large-scale vortex radiates outward, transforming individual presence into a collective, architectural moment that envelops the entire foyer.
